At the writing of this, it is Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day here in the USA—the day before Barack Obama will be sworn in as the 44th President of the United States—and will be the first African-American to do so.

Whether or not you voted for Mr. Obama, I hope you can appreciate that, in spite of the odds and all kinds of other reasons people may have given as why he shouldn’t have run for President, he did so.  His call to do what he could do moved him beyond the fears and doubts.

How about you…?

Mr. Obama is asking all Americans to likewise take positive action—to be of service how they might.  I hope all people everywhere will choose to do so.  Why should just we Americans have all the fun…?  :)

It is fitting, on this day, to offer this quotation:

“Everyone can be great, because everyone can serve.”
- Martin Luther King

If you are already taking that action, thank you!  And if you are maybe holding back, I have something I’d like to offer—and I hope you will enjoy it.  (Actually, I hope you will enjoy it even if you are already taking action.)

I do a weekly teleclass, and I usually end it with some guided imagery.  I don’t plan what the imagery will be about— the inspiration just comes up at that time—and it is a co-creation from the energy of the group.  The one that was created today is right along the lines of the ideas above.  Hopefully it will inspire you to take what positive action you can to make a difference, as well as ease the fears and doubts that may have stopped you in the past.  I hope you will enjoy it, as well as find it healing in body, mind and spirit.  If you feel moved to do so, I hope you will share it with others.  What if everyone allowed themselves to do what they could do… imagine the possibilities…

Thank you for doing what you can for the world. Don’t be afraid to be great. :)
